PCI has a long history with Lendlease Engineering and Building businesses, stemming over 20 years, from our initial relationship with Baulderstone prior to its integration into the Lendlease organisation.

Our work with Lendlease spans two distinct areas: leadership development and bid coaching, reflecting a relationship built over many years and across multiple business cycles as the organisation itself evolved.

Leadership development:

PCI designed and facilitated the Future Leadership Team Program for Lendlease Victoria — a program built to develop a select group of high-potential employees and prepare them for senior management roles over a three-year timeframe. The program used an Action Learning framework, enabling participants to apply what they learned directly to real-world problems they were facing in their roles at the time.

This was a highly successful program that ran for more than 15 years, making a significant contribution to the retention of high-potential talent and to succession planning across the organisation. The majority of graduates from the program have gone on to be promoted into senior management positions.

Bid coaching and commercial advisory:

PCI has also provided proponent coaching to Baulderstone, and later Lendlease, across many of its major bids — helping secure selection on projects including the Westgate Freeway Alliance, Eastern Tertiary Treatment Plant, Geelong Arts Centre, Torrens Road to Torrens River, Southern Program Alliance, Ballarat Line Upgrade and Melbourne Park Redevelopment.

Alongside bid coaching, PCI has provided commercial advisory services to help Lendlease negotiate and resolve complex contractual issues arising on major projects.

PCI's role:
