PCI is proud to continue our support of The Great Endeavour
Over the past four years, PCI and d2e have supported and are proud to continue to support the ‘Love Boat’ on its Great Endeavour journey in October. This ‘Love Boat’ is not the luxury cruise liner of the late ’70s but a 1978 vintage Ford Fairlane LTD and the Great Endeavour is an annual charity car rally open to any road registered vehicle.
This event is the largest fundraising initiative of the Endeavour Foundation, having raised in excess of $8.5m. Endeavour Foundation is one of the largest non-government disability service providers in Australia. Founded in 1951 by a group of mothers who wanted to educate their children with an intellectual disability, the Endeavour Foundation now supports more than 4,000 people with a disability, from 230 locations in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria. The Love Boat will take part in its fourth Great Endeavour in October, starting in Coffs Harbour and finishing in Port Macquarie, travelling on World Rally Championship and other rally and off-road courses, as well as visiting Taylors Arm, home of the site which inspired the legendary song ‘Pub With No Beer’. Read about it at www.1978loveboat.net. Without the support of sponsors, covering the costs of fuel and running repairs, the Love Boat would be unable to raise dust and dollars for the Endeavour Foundation.
