Sourcing Strategy and Business Optimisation
Jim Dingwall (and the d2e/PCI team) led the development of a sourcing strategy involving performance-based cost-reimbursable contracts to help resolve severe misalignments between United Energy and their service providers caused by fundamental misalignment of objectives in the existing contracts. This sourcing strategy required gaining agreement from CEO and Board, developing a new set of ‘intelligent client’ capabilities, and designing and implementing a change program to transition service providers into the new arrangements. This initiative has resulted in notable cost and quality improvements, better client-supplier relationships, and assurance of on-going value for money and regulatory acceptance. The United Energy business implemented this transition on 1/7/2011 and Multinet in 2013.
PCI continues to provide on-going business improvement and commercial support to United Energy.Go Back
